FOSER holds first League Financial Seminar

FOSER held its first League Financial Seminar on February 24th, 2019. This seminar was he in St Cloud, FL at the St. Cloud Senior Center. The seminar was well attended by many league Treasurers, Presidents, Board Members and District Staff. FOSER teamed up with Little League International and the Florida District Administrators Association to bring this great opportunity for leagues to take the next step in their financial planning. The focus of this seminar was budgets, reporting, transparency, taxes and government regulations.

David Houseknecht, Little League International CFO was a key speaker in presenting to the participants the importance of financial management within leagues.

Winner Announced in 2016 FOSER Raffle

Prize is trip to 2016 Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA

The Friends of Little League’s Southeast Region (FOSER) is pleased to announce that JJ Shrader of Dandridge, Tennessee is the winner of the inaugural FOSER raffle.  The prize is a trip for her family to the 2016 Little League World Series in Williamsport, including lodging, premium seating, special tours and $1,000 in cash.  Mrs. Shrader will be joined by her husband Danny and their four children.  The winning ticket was drawn on July 15 from more than 5,100 tickets purchased through Little League programs throughout the eight states of the Southeast Region.

After being notified that she had won the grand prize, Mrs. Shrader thanked FOSER for the opportunity to be at the 2016 World Series.  She and her family have been actively involved in their local league for the past ten years.  Her husband has coached for seven years, and Mrs. Shrader is active as a board member in her local league. 

“Our children, my husband and I have met great people and made lifelong friends being part of our local Little League program,” Mrs. Shrader said, “and we want to thank everyone in the Dandridge community who contributes or participates in some capacity to support our local South Jefferson Little League.  You have made our lives richer.”

 

FOSER is a non-profit corporation incorporated in the State of Georgia and a Section 501(c)(3) charitable organization, formed by volunteer District Administrators in the eight states of the Southeast Region of Little League, to support regional Little League baseball and softball activities and especially the work of thousands of volunteers that make it possible for boys and girls between the ages of 4 and 18 to play in the nearly 800 leagues in the region.
